Wildlife (Habitat Creation) Opportunities Legend
Dark pink areas are where improvement projects are likely to have the greatest beneficial effect on wildlife. These areas have the following characteristics:
-
Wetland suitability (from the wetland map)
-
Proximity to existing high value habitats
-
Priority Areas (identified in the Natural England Habitat Network)
The clear and white areas are where projects are unlikely to be beneficial because the landscape is unsuitable. It is important to remember that areas of existing high value habitats are considered to be unsuitable for improvement projects because they are already fulfilling this ecosystem service.
