ESSEX AND SUFFOLK RIVERS TRUST RECEIVES A BOOST FROM WAITROSE

In almost every supermarket now you will see tubes of tokens for various charities. We were delighted when Waitrose chose Essex and Suffolk Rivers Trust to be one of their charities and even more so when the public decided that our cause was their preferred choice out of the three charity options.

Trustee Dave Dignum can be seen (left), with the tokens in the Waitrose store in Sudbury where a total of £575 was raised for us.

Dave was very happy to receive a cheque for £575 on behalf of the trust from Angela Brown – Waitrose Community Engagement.

The work we do is primarily funded by organisations such as the Environment Agency and grants received so to receive this additional money from Waitrose is a real bonus! The projects we do are vital to keeping our waterways at their best and without funding (and dedicated volunteers!) none of this would be possible so we would like to extend our thanks to Waitrose and its customers for their generosity.
