We are looking for a Project & Catchments Officer to join our team




An exciting opportunity to join a small, dedicated team devoted to the conservation and enhancement of rivers and wetlands in Essex and Suffolk. You will take a leading role in the conception, design, development, delivery and monitoring of projects that enhance the rivers and their catchments, provide innovative natural solutions to habitat improvements, local flood and water resource management and measures to improve water quality. In doing so you will collaborate with landowners and work closely with our partners in the East Suffolk and Essex Rivers Hub Catchment Partnerships, which we host, to encourage the development of joint projects and local actions. You will have a background in environmental conservation and well-developed technical knowledge and practical experience of working on river enhancement projects.

You will play a key role in the development and promotion of ESRT and its role as catchment partnerships host by acquiring and disseminating evidence and information to support the catchment based approach and its achievements. You will therefore have excellent written and oral communication skills and be confident in talking to and influencing a wide range of stakeholders.


Salary: £26,000 – £30,000 (pro rata) dep. on experience

Full time (37.5 hours per week) , flexibility considered

Initial fixed term contract, renewable subject to funding

Location: Home working with travel throughout Essex and Suffolk
